Finishes

Note: All concreting is sculpted with water run off in mind to keep you high and dry!

Plain

Is Concrete without any colors, additives or textures. Concrete in its natural state is a light grey colour and can be troweled off smooth or with a broom finish depending on its future use.

Coloured

Concrete has a colour added through the mix. See colour downloadable colorthrough chart. More than one color can be used for instance a border color can be added on the outside of footpath - see Treeview example

Stamped

Is a pattern imprinted into the concrete while it is still wet (using our stamps or hired ones) usually with previously choosen / discussed colors and tints to leave a textured finish tailored to your needs. See Downloadable CCSPatternBrochure

Exposed Aggregate

Is a combination of pebbles or stones in the mix of concrete which when nearly dry the top is evenly hosed off to expose the stones beneath. There are many options in the colors of stone mixes and percentages of stones are ordered to best suit your circumstance. e.g. A Black and White stone mix might be 50%Black/50%White Stone for one job, another job may need more white stone so 70%White/30%Black or maybe for another job or it might need more Black so 70%Black/30%White and if needs to be even darker can add black colour into the concrete depending on your budget or a colour to create a effect. We also do pebbled feature animals into the concrete such as dolphins, seahorses etc with our premade stencils. Can do special request stencils, see Custom made stencils.

Stencil/Cover-crete

Is covercrete sprayed on over a premade bought stencil , masked pattern / lines (or one of our custom made stencils we make up ourselves see stencil section). When covercrete is nearly dry it is pulled up showing the original concrete in stencils place as the pattern. It is then sealed with translucent sealer for a protective waterproof cover layer. A lot can be done with stenciling using different colors, colouring concrete initially, not using a stencil at all and spraying flecks over previous sprayon etc. for just a few ideas.

Creative Combination

If you have an idea of something a bit different am happy for you to run it by me whether is be using more than one colour being boxed off into segments, mixing stamped with exposed aggregate, curved areas instead of straight, textured lines troweled into concrete etc would be happy to talk about this with you. Also can go to this link website www.concretecoloursystems.com.au and see their brochures and ideas booklets for inspiration.

Care and Maintenance

Driveways

  1. Do not drive on your driveway, for up to 7 days - especially if it has been raining, as the concrete hasn't had time to dry and the weight of vehicle on concrete can increase the chances of cracking.
  2. Sealer needs to be applied over Job every so often to keep concrete looking great. Feel free to ask Pat how often for your particular job this needs to be done. Often an owner or care taker can do this themselves with correct instruction or alternatively we can send a labourer round to do it for you.
